“Support our oops” shirt
Everywhere you can see yellow ribbons that say "Support our Troops." They're on lapels, posters, and car magnets*.
This shirt takes some of the letters off the last word to satirize the intelligence failure that led to the well-meaning, but utterly botched initial strategies in our war on terror.
Support our oops.
But if you're feeling overly patriotic, don't go around thinking that soldiers spend their entire days doing heroic freedom-saving. This happens, too:
* What's with that, by the way? Why stick-on magnets? Do people not want to put stickers on their cars because they want the option of being able to not support the troops in the future? Do they want to be able to quickly remove it in case Canada invades? If they really want to support our troops the best way isn't with an easily-removable magnet. Go out and buy a soldier lunch or something.
Whether we like it or not, Armed Forces are deployed throughout the world defending freedom, Starbucks, and the American economy.
And although supporting those Troops is more or less a given, popularity of the war they're fighting comes and goes.
Whatever your political background, wear this yellow ribbon with pride.
